Student
and Parent/Guardian Covenant
Each student and their parent/guardian is
required to abide by the following covenant upon entry to the Dow COP
program.
I
will strive to attain a college education.
I
will graduate from high school with my class or before.
We
will be fully committed to the Dow College Opportunity Program.
I
will uphold my reputation and the reputation of my school and the
program. Any conviction of a misdemeanor or felony (excluding traffic
tickets) will result in my termination from the program. We will
participate in and attend all program functions unless pre-excused by
the Program Director.
a.1st violation - warning from Program Director.
b.2nd violation - Program Director informs Board of possible
probation or termination
c.3rd violation – termination
d.Appeal by student/parent can be made to Board of Control.
I
will strive to keep all grades above a "B-". If I do not, I
will attend weekly Saturday tutoring sessions.
I
will provide constant support and encouragement to the students and
the program.
We
will always do our best to encourage and build team spirit within the
group.
